Paradise mosaic, a faithful re-creation of Raphael's classic fresco, which he painted in 1509, stands 32' high by 45' across.

Installed in February 1981 at Forest Lawn—Long Beach, the Paradise mosaic is a rendition of the fresco of Italian painter Raphael (1483-1520), whose artistic works exemplify the ideals of the High Renaissance.

The original fresco is in the Stanza Della Segnatura, Palazzi Pontifici, in Rome's Vatican, titled Disputation of the Holy Sacrament.
