The funeral is the ceremony held to commemorate the life of the decedent.
The funeral process may involve a memorial service and viewing of the body, may have the remains present in an urn, or it may include a simple burial (no viewing; a graveside ceremony only) in the
cemetery.
When making funeral arrangements, Forest Lawn will request the following information:
- Social Security Number
- Date of Birth/Place of Birth
- Mother's Full Name, including Maiden Name
- Mother's Place of Birth
- Father's Full Name
- Father's Birthplace
- Next of Kin
- Usual Residence
- Occupation/Usual Employer/Industry/Number of Years Employed/Retired (Yes or No)
- Years of Education
- Military Service
